A pleasure to read and a-must for anyone like me who travels almost weekly to the Mad River Valley all winter. Already looking forward to next year. It's the thaws that really kill things and we were lucky with that despite the above average temps.

FWIW-We drove to the MRV through the february storm from just east of the hudson 30 miles north of NYC. The first 5 miles going east was heavy snow and then all rain. Your forecast made for a safe easy drive and some epic snow to ski upon our arrival.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11342902468425905811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7409219001795425656.post-4069207692575365262010-04-04T23:25:20.666-05:002010-04-04T23:25:20.666-05:00Thanks again for a great season of reporting Josh!...Thanks again for a great season of reporting Josh! Most mountains I watched came in at around 75-80% of their seasonal averages.

One thing about the big event, the week of Feb 22... what did fall frozen, was pretty dense and had some spring staying power not normally found in natural snow.

All things considered, from the TRs I read, it sounded like Mad delivered up a pretty decent season.Harvey44https://www.blogger.com/profile/00619520854496559427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7409219001795425656.post-25509078537117024872010-04-04T17:44:40.002-05:002010-04-04T17:44:40.002-05:00Thanks for the on-point analysis and your unending...Thanks for the on-point analysis and your unending dedication to keeping the MRG faithful informed and amused. As an alpine snowboarder who hasn't visited MRG in years, I still appreciate your efforts.

For an interesting contrast, we need only look to the PACNW--site of an almost snowless Olympics that is now receiving vast quantities of spring powder as we bask in 75 degree heat. Weather is weird!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14301511635119428981noreply@blogger.com
